Summer Home Improvement Projects
Our Summer Home Improvement projects are finally complete! In June we made the
decision to start sprucing up the exterior of our home. After considering our options and talking with a contractor, we decided that now was as good a time as any to bite the bullet and go with a complete exterior vinyl siding package and new energy- efficient windows. We'll be replacing some of our windows now, and the rest sometime next year... and maybe more after that. We also decided to replace our old roofing, which was at least 20 years old and beginning to show its age.
The photographs below show our house in its original state compared with the "new
look". There are also a few "in-between" shots included. The siding job took much longer than we had anticipated, beginning July 5 and completing on August 24, 2000. |
