Our church, Calvary Chapel of Chino Valley, annually sponsors a special weekend getaway
for married couples. The focus of the weekend is on re-evaluating, strengthening, and rededicating ourselves in the roles of husbands, wives, and parents, in light of what the Bible has to tell us about Christian marriage. The schedule also allows for plenty of free time to spend getting to know our spouses better, and to pray together.
This year's retreat was held at the Westin Mission Hills Resort in Rancho Mirage, a
spectacularly beautiful desert oasis east of Palm Springs. The photos on this page will give you an idea of just how gorgeous it is, but hardly do it justice. |

Our room doesn't look like much in the photo, but it was
actually quite large and very comfortable. There were 2 very soft queen size beds, a table and chairs, bar area, large bathroom with double sinks, lots of counter space, and tub/shower combo. Cable TV, of course, as well as a coffee maker, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. Through the draperies at the right of the photo is a nice little balcony equipped with a patio table and chairs. |
